So what is Biltong? Biltong is like Beef Jerky, only better. The term Biltong originates from Africa. It is preserved meat, but differs from jerky in the following ways:
- Biltong is made from thick cuts of meat, in this case, prime Aussie beef.
- The moisture content in Biltong is much higher, therefore it’s softer and easier to chew, unlike Jerky which is very dry and can be hard to chew.
- We slice your Biltong fresh to order, so it’s as delicious as you’ll find.
As well as Biltong, we also stock Stokkies (the equivalent of traditional Jerky) and Dry Wors (dried Boerewors sausage) and we stock a variety of flavours including:
